Spontaneous emulsification, resulting from the assembly and accumulation of surfactants at liquid–liquid interfaces, is an interfacial instability where microdroplets are generated diffusively spread interface until complete emulsification. Here, it shown that external magnetic field can modulate paramagnetic nanoparticle (NPSs) interfaces to trigger oversaturation in areal density NPSs interface, as evidenced by a marked reduction tension, γ, corroborated with magnetostatic continuum theory.
